RESUMEN
Conforme
al Artículo 16, Centros europeos de innovación digital y apartado
3, párrafo primero, y su artículo 23, Artículo 23 Financiación
acumulativa y alternativa, apartado 2, del Reglamento del Parlamento Europeo y del Consejo sobre el ProgramaEuropa Digital, la Comisión Europea selecciona las entidades que
formen una red inicial de centros europeos de innovación digital. Para la
selección la Comisión publicó dos convocatorias de propuestas y evaluó las
propuestas presentadas con la ayuda de un comité de expertos independiente.
En
los anexos I y II figuran los centros europeos de innovación digital
seleccionados para constituir la red inicial de estos centros. (Artículo 1°).
En
el anexo I figuran las entidades elegidas para recibir financiación del
programa Europa Digital. En el anexo II figuran las entidades a las que se
concede el «Sello de Excelencia». (Artículo 2°)

la que se seleccionan las entidades que forman la red inicial de centros europeos
de innovación digital de conformidad con el Reglamento (UE) 2021/694 del Parlamento
Europeo y del Consejo

LA
COMISIÓN EUROPEA,
Visto
el Tratado de Funcionamiento de la Unión Europea,
Visto
el Reglamento (UE) 2021/694 del Parlamento Europeo y del Consejo, de 29 de abril
de 2021, por el que se establece el Programa Europa Digital y por el que se deroga
la Decisión (UE) 2015/2240 (1),
y en particular su artículo 16, apartado 3, párrafo primero, y su artículo 23, apartado
2,
Considerando
lo siguiente:

De conformidad
con el artículo 16, apartado 3, del Reglamento (UE) 2021/694, la Comisión debe
seleccionar las entidades que formen una red inicial de centros europeos de innovación
digital. |

(2) |
Con el fin de
seleccionar los centros europeos de innovación digital que formen la red inicial
sobre la base de la lista de entidades candidatas designadas por los Estados miembros,
la Comisión publicó dos convocatorias de propuestas y evaluó las propuestas presentadas
con la ayuda de un comité de expertos independiente. La primera convocatoria (DIGITAL-2021-EDIH-01-INITIAL)
se publicó el 17 de noviembre de 2021 y el plazo de presentación de propuestas
finalizó el 22 de febrero de 2022, mientras que la segunda (DIGITAL-2022-EDIH-03)
se publicó el 29 de septiembre de 2022 y el plazo de presentación de propuestas
finalizó el 16 de noviembre de 2022. Para ambas evaluaciones, la Comisión tuvo
en cuenta en la mayor medida posible la opinión de los Estados miembros antes
de seleccionar los centros europeos de innovación digital en el territorio de
cada uno de ellos. |

La Comisión seleccionó
136 propuestas de la primera convocatoria y 15 de la segunda. |

A fin de que los
Estados miembros puedan financiar más centros europeos de innovación digital en
su territorio, los centros europeos de innovación digital que hayan superado con
éxito todos los umbrales de evaluación, pero no hayan recibido financiación debido
a la falta de presupuesto disponible para las convocatorias pertinentes en el
programa de trabajo deben recibir el «Sello de Excelencia» de conformidad con
el artículo 23, apartado 2, del Reglamento (UE) 2021/694. |

Las medidas previstas
en la presente Decisión se ajustan al dictamen del Comité de Coordinación del
programa Europa Digital. |

En
los anexos I y II figuran los centros europeos de innovación digital seleccionados
para constituir la red inicial de estos centros.
Artículo
2
En
el anexo I figuran las entidades elegidas para recibir financiación del programa
Europa Digital.
En
el anexo II figuran las entidades a las que se concede el «Sello de Excelencia».

3
La
presente Decisión entrará en vigor a los veinte días de su publicación en el Diario
Oficial de la Unión Europea.
